This week’s point news broadcast began with Anchors Melissa Garlock and Robert Fornataro. Melissa began the newscast by delivering the news on the death of an unidentified woman in Homewood where police are still searching to find her cause of death.
Moving onto Pittsburgh news, Reporter Becca Trulick gave us an update on how the NFL draft is coming together on the north shore and the locations where the draft will take place across Pittsburgh. On the topic of the Draft, Reporter Cade Montgomery asked the employees who work downtown on how they will be handling getting around the city during the draft.
Now moving onto entertainment news, Reporter Gabi Wait told us all about the Pioneer Star Showcase that was held at Stage AE. After the break Robert brought us back to give a story on the Artemis II expedition that recently blasted off in search of the moon.
Melissa then gave another national story on Amazon adding new charges to all orders after the recent gas spikes across the nation. Back to entertainment news, Robert gave us the details on the new Super Mario movie that hit the box office and the revenue it’s been receiving. Melissa then gave the details on how AI models like Claude could pose a massive security risk to cybersecurity.
Reporter Ruthie Light then told us about how the Trump Administration stripped away several title nine rights that protected transgender students across the nation. Robert then gave us an update on the Epstein investigations, specifically regarding Bill Gates and his involvement with the case as well as his upcoming testimony.
Coming back from the break once more, Robert gave an update on Trump’s recent threat to make an attack on Iran after their refusal to agree to a ceasefire. Melissa then gave us the story on Ye and his recent antisemetic remarks which caused his music festival to be cancelled.
Gabi then gave us our sports news by reporting on the NCAA women’s championship. Finally we ended this week’s newscast with Weather Reporter Annabella Gizzi giving us our weekly Pittsburgh forecast.
